Visiting and staying with various Indian communities and tribes requires a significant amount of pre-planning. Please contact us with any questions concerning an itinerary that you may have in mind. We can always offer suggestions and answer any questions you may have. Logistics, such as transport and schedules, are especially important, as are your specific group or individual traveling preferences.

The primary tribes within our region include the Yaguas, Urarinas, Jibaros, and Matsés.

This program is truly, an amazing experience and unique, first-hand opportunity to live and learn within the Amazon Basin!

Many people who are just passing through Iquitos or are only here for a week or so would like to go out for their first contact and experience with the jungle, yet are unsure of what is available or what to expect in a tour. Others may come with specific expectations, activities or itineraries. Some people prefer sleeping in a lodge, in a constructed shelter, on our boat or with a family in the jungle or maybe a little bit of each.

Keep in mind that our activities menu is for YOU! We can make suggestions and answer questions, but our priority in providing the best service and experience for you means that you get to do exactly what you want to do. If we know what you would like to do and experience we can plan accordingly; as everything is not in one area, but spread throughout the region. This is also important when considering such things as a menu, for example. We need to know your preferences before hand to ensure a satisfactory experience that you will remember for a lifetime.
